Baby Amelia's Dresser

One of the last major things left to do in the baby's room was to paint the dresser. I had a vision of what I wanted it to look like, and Holly humored me. It was to be white and pink with a lace print. It was copied from a painting style that was used on show cars of the late 60's and 70's.

Yeah, I think Holly was a little concerned when I said that part out loud.

Anyway, the dresser that was once blue, yellow, orange, red and green was painted white.
I then laid down some lace that we had bought and made sure that it was snugged down so the spray paint wouldn't move it.
I then spayed it with the pink spray paint.
After the paint dried to a tacky finish, Holly and I carefully removed the lace.
The most expensive part of the whole deal was the drawer pulls from Target.

When you look at it from a distance, it looks upolstered.

So that is what you get from a hand-me-down dresser, two cans of spray paint, mark-down lace, and Target drawer pulls.

In conclusion,

Dresser - FREE

White paint - FREE from previous project

2 cans of spray paint - $6

Lace - $5

Drawer Pulls form Target - $28

Really cute dresser for a baby girl - PRICELESS!

It turned out absolutely out of this world gorgeous! I can hardly wait to see it in person.

You guys must definitely give each other a pat on the back and a high-five for this outstanding decorating feat.

I know grandbaby Amelia is going to be so pleased with it also.

This is awesome...and you have to promise that if a baby #3 ever comes along, you'll just redo a DIFFERENT dresser and never paint over this one again!! :) It's something your baby girl will need to keep forever!!
