Bow Chicka Bow Wow

The Emigs are big fans of the Disney cartoon Phineas & Ferb. Here's Max singing a song from the episode where the title characters become one-hit-wonders with the song "Bow Chicka Bow Wow".

Two Month Checkup

She's perfectly average in weight, 10.8 pounds.
She's in the bottom 25% in height, but that's to be expected.
She was a perfect angel for the doctor.

Long Overdue Update

Finding time for the blog has been difficult lately. We are going to do better about keeping it updated. What it will lack in detail, it will hopefully make up for with photos.

We don't have a photo of the four of us yet, but we had one taken and it should be here soon.

Here are the latest of Amelia and the rest of the family...(I really do have more hair. It's just in a ponytail.)
Target is very important to our family.

Baby Amelia's Dresser

One of the last major things left to do in the baby's room was to paint the dresser. I had a vision of what I wanted it to look like, and Holly humored me. It was to be white and pink with a lace print. It was copied from a painting style that was used on show cars of the late 60's and 70's.

Yeah, I think Holly was a little concerned when I said that part out loud.

Anyway, the dresser that was once blue, yellow, orange, red and green was painted white.
I then laid down some lace that we had bought and made sure that it was snugged down so the spray paint wouldn't move it.
I then spayed it with the pink spray paint.
After the paint dried to a tacky finish, Holly and I carefully removed the lace.
The most expensive part of the whole deal was the drawer pulls from Target.

When you look at it from a distance, it looks upolstered.

So that is what you get from a hand-me-down dresser, two cans of spray paint, mark-down lace, and Target drawer pulls.

In conclusion,

Dresser - FREE

White paint - FREE from previous project

2 cans of spray paint - $6

Lace - $5

Drawer Pulls form Target - $28

Really cute dresser for a baby girl - PRICELESS!

First sign of winter.

We finally had our first sign of winter, frozen precipitation. It started as freezing rain and then turned to sleet with a little bit of snow mixed in for good measure. Max and mommy both got to stay home from work and school. But after 3 days, they were both ready to leave the house.

Here is my view of Broadway Extension Tuesday afternoon.
Max couldn't wait until I got home so he could go outside and play. We were outside for about ten minutes.
Wallace had fun too.

Max surprised me by flopping down on the ground and moving his arms and legs. One little angel making another.
Look hard, it's there.

New Pictures... Finally

We've finally added some pictures to our blog. Sorry we've been absent for so long. We've been too busy rearranging the house for the new baby and enjoying holiday activities to sit too long at the computer.

We'll post Christmas pics soon! Love to all!

Christmas Choir Concert

This is Max singing with the four-year old choir at church. Tony helps with this class.

And this is the class of Kindergarten students singing their songs for the church. I helped with this class during the Fall semester. It was great to see them perform for everyone.
